Dishes That You Can Make with Long Beans/Long Beans Recipe

Hello everyone, welcome to my first recipe post.

The reason for posting about long beans is that sometimes, the whole bunch of long beans that I buy are too many and I cannot finish it in one meal. Do you have the same problem? If you do, here's some ideas for you.

Anyone who doesn't love eggs? I guess I can't find people who doesn't love it, at least not among the people that I know. Egg is one of my favoruite food. It is simply delicious and nutritious.

First recipe: Fry egg with long beans
Ingredients: 3 long beans, 1 egg, 3 shallots and 4 cloves of garlic
Seasoning: Oyster sauce, soy sauce and salt
Portion: For 1 person

Remove the ends of the long beans and cut it into small, fine pieces as shown in the picture.

Next, cut 3 shallots and minced 4 cloves of garlic. Then, crack an egg into a bowl and add 5-6 drops of oyster sauce (that is how I usually measure my oyster sauce) and mix it well.

Prepare the oil and seasoning needed for cooking.

I like this Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand oyster sauce. It's the one that my family has been using for many years and the taste is very rich. 99 Speedmart has the cheapest price, this bottle costs around 7 something only.

Add some cooking oil in the wok. If you want to be healthier, Naturel is a good choice but it is more expensive than other cooking oil. Knife or Helang (Red Eagle) cooking oil work fine too.

This amount of oil is enough for 1 egg, if you have more eggs, add more oil so that it doesn't stick.

Coat your wok with oil. Same reason, so that the ingredients won't stick on the wok.

Fry the shallots and garlic until golden brown.

Add in the long beans and fry for 1-2 minutes.

Add a bit of salt.

Soy sauce.

Add in the egg.

Flip it over.

Your fry egg with long beans is ready to be served.

Second recipe: Fried rice with long beans, carrots and egg
Ingredients: 2 long beans, 1/2 of 1 carrot, 1 egg, 2-3 shallots, 3-4 cloves of garlic
Seasoning: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, white pepper, sesame oil
Portion: 1 person

Prepare your ingredients. If you have leftover rice, put it in the fridge and use it on another day. It is easier to fry as it is not as sticky as freshly cooked rice.

Remove the ends of the long beans.

Cut the long beans, carrot and shallots into small pieces. Minced the garlic.

The seasoning.

Fry the shallots and garlic until golden brown. Add in the long beans and carrots and continue to fry it for 1-2 minutes.

Add in the egg and scramble it.

Add the rice. Press it with the turner to loosen it.

Add the seasoning. 5-6 drops of oyster sauce, some soy sauce, some salt, some white pepper and some sesame oil (if you prefer less salty, decrease the amount of seasoning, otherwise add more).

Your yummy and simple fried rice is ready.

Third recipe: Stir fry long beans with onions, carrots and egg
Ingredients: long beans, 1/2 of 1 onion,  1/2 of 1 carrot, 1 egg, 3 shallots and 4 cloves of garlic
Seasoning: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, sugar, sesame oil
Portion: 1 person

Firstly, remove the ends of the long beans and cut it into 5-6cm in size.

Cut the carrot into 5-6cm in size as well.

Slice the onion.

Cut the shallots and minced the garlic.

Ready to cook it.

Add some cooking oil in the wok, you need more oil to fry the long beans to soften it.

After 2-3 minutes, it will soften and look like this.

Remove it and put it on a plate first.

Fry the shallots and garlic until golden brown.

Add in carrot and onion.

Fry it for a few minutes until the onions and carrots soften.

Add the egg and scramble it.

Put the long beans back into the wok. Stir fry it with other ingredients and add 5-6 drops of oyster sauce, some soy sauce, some sugar, some salt and some sesame oil.

And now it's done.

If you have leftovers, you can keep it for the next day and fry it with rice. Just add some oyster sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil to the rice and add in the long beans. Stir it for 5 minutes as it is kept in the fridge for overnight. Then, it is ready to be served.

Besides that, you can also fry the long beans with egg only or long beans with pork or chicken meat or fry it with rice like this.

Hope this helps and enjoy. =)
